As part of the Cornwall-wide event, Krowji invited the public to visit the old grammar school site to see 55 resident artists in their studios from Saturday 27th May – Sunday 4th June 2017. This was a great opportunity for both local residents and half term tourists to see the amazing artwork being created right here in Cornwall.
Open Studios Cornwall 2017 at Krowji included artists covering the following disciplines:
Bookmaking, Ceramics, Fashion, Glass, Illustration, Jewellery, Leather work, Mixed Media, Painting, Photography, Printmaking, Publishing, Sculpture and Textiles.
Across the county over 250 artists took part in the event this year. Open Studios Cornwall artists can be located by following the orange ‘O’s’ in hedges and on roadsides, or by looking them up in the Open Studios Cornwall catalogue, printed and circulated every mid-April. For latest updates on the event, follow them on Facebook, Twitter or Instagram.
All Krowji artists from the 2017 event are shown above.
7 participating Krowji tenants had not taken part in an Open Studios event before. These were Chloe Reynolds, Chloe Tinsley, Clare Summerson, Fijke Middendorp, Lewis Coleman, MAMM & MYRGH and Una D’Aragona.
