The ground floor studio G13 is a large open space of 545 square foot. Like all our large ground floor studios this workshop benefits from its own double door external access. This is particularly helpful for tenants requiring regular delivery access to and from their space. The glazed double doors, along with the windows, lend extra brightness to the space.
Natural light is also a key feature of the first and second floor large studios. 119 has three large windows spread over two walls. This, combined with the high ceilings which all of the Percy Williams Building studios benefit from, means that the space feels spacious and bright. During the design process of these studios, we were very conscious to consider the needs of both creative digital business and those of artists and makers. As such there is a large amount of uninterrupted wall space, but also banks of wall sockets and power points accessible from all parts of the space.
The top floor north facing penthouse studios boast some rather gorgeous views out over the North Cornwall coast while the south facing studios look out towards the Redruth hills around Carn Brea. 223 has a western aspect from its large windows, so plenty of inspiration can be found watching the weather patterns move in from the Atlantic.
This new Phase 2 development has large bright communal spaces, and all of the facilities required for contemporary creative environments. There are tearooms and washrooms on each floor, along with accessible facilities and a central lift. Internet connectivity is available, with fibre to the premises tenants are able to choose their own network provider and contracts to suit their business needs. All Krowji tenants have the opportunity to participate in Open Studios events and other creative opportunities facilitated by Krowji but the really unique benefit to being a Krowji tenant is the strong and supportive creative community shared within the Krowji buildings. From fine artists to ceramicists, digital agencies to charitable trusts, the Krowji creative mix is what makes this place extra special.
