Karina is an immigrant Brazilian artist and Cornwall-based, interested in investigating how people translate their own identity through things that we carry on our journeys and things we make and exchange, creating room for interconnection.
This particular project is based on her living experiences of moving houses and embodying homes, investigated by the connection of line drawings and memories and translated into yarn, fabric and objects. The project is also an invitation to exchange artworks and written personal narratives.
In the end, the space will have a different exhibition every day, framed by the exchanges within the local and, hopefully, wider communities between professional artists and self-proclaimed makers, crafters and artists. All are welcome to join in.
