Vicki Aimers at The Museum of Cornish Life on 22nd to 27th June 2026

We are pleased to share that Krowji tenant Vicki Aimers is returning to the @musecornishlife from 22nd to 27th June, for an artist residency. Vicki’s work will explore the life of young sampler-maker Margaret Lanyon and her experiences within a nineteenth-century Cornish farming community. Margaret married the celebrated Cornish wrestler John Jack Pearce, and throughout the residency and she’ll be creating new work inspired by her story, the landscapes she inhabited, and the traces of everyday life that remain within the archive.
During the week there will also be a free drop-in workshop, alongside a bookable workshop on Eventbrite titled Disappearing Traces. Together you will explore journalling, printmaking, and image transfer processes inspired by personal histories, memory, and the stories carried through our lives.
Please message Vicki via Instagram @vicki_aimers for further details or visit Eventbrite to book a place. The workshop fee is £28 and includes a creative kit and a handmade journal.
