Summer Soiree – Cornwall Museum & Art Gallery, Truro, 23rd July 2026

Summer Soiree at the Cornwall Museum & Art Gallery on Thursday 23rd July / 6:30pm – 9pm.

“Come and raise a glass to Cornwall’s thriving creative scene at this summer get-together!

The Summer Soiree is an opportunity to explore the galleries, chat about current projects and future dreams, catch up with old creative friends and meet new ones. All this to the beat of a decent soundtrack, with a glass of something cold and delicious in hand courtesy of Old Chapel Cellars, the UK’s No.1 wine merchant, who are hosting a pop-up wine tasting as part of the event. At the heart of the evening, Artist activist Camilla Dixon will provide provocation and inspiration with her short illustrated talk, Talking About Not Talking: how local and global issues shape individual practice.

This free event is also a chance to find out more about the museum’s transformation plans from Co-Director Bryony Robins, and have your say about the future of Cornwall’s national museum and gallery. Plus Creative Kernow’s CEO, Gregg Whelan, will talk briefly about the ways in which the organisation supports artists across Cornwall.”

The event is free to artists and creatives in Cornwall, but booking is essential: https://cornwallmuseum.digitickets.co.uk/category/61158
