Sinead recently joined nine fellow enamellers from the Guild of Enamellers for a six-day residency in Denmark. The international group included three from Denmark, one from France, and the rest from the UK. They spent long, rewarding days in the workshop at Ravstedhus, making full use of their fantastic facilities. During the residency, Sinead explored the intricate technique of plique-à-jour and also practised painting with finely ground enamel suspended in water, layering it delicately for detailed results. Sinead is excited to continue developing both techniques and creating new work influenced by her time in Denmark.
