Hi! I’m Kate, an illustrator and ceramicist based here at Krowji. This week I was kindly invited to use the new hot desking space for the day and show you all that it has to offer if your thinking of changing up your work day!
Our day started with a lovely coffee from Stones cafe right next door before being greeted by a warm and bright desk space. Setting up my laptop and Ipad was super easy with speedy WiFi as advertised in the room and convenient access to plugs from our seat.
Working in a separate room to my studio really helped to change up my day and would definitely benefit you if you’re working from home normally. The room is very peaceful and quiet but it is also nice to be able to hear the faint noises from the cafe, feelings of coffee shop working but without the loud noise !
In the afternoon we got lunch, I had this in the room but then took some time out in the cafe with friends which was a great benefit of being just next door. The room has lockers that you can use for storing away your bulky bags or laptops etc so you don’t have to carry them around with you.
After lunch we had a look around Bills Attic which is a inspiring showcase of Bill Mitchell’s amazing art work. This is open by appointment, but definitely something to enquire about with the reception while you’re on site. We finished the afternoon feeling very productive, the breakaway from my normal studio gave me a clearer head space to work on new projects and would definitely recommend the space to anyone looking to change things up in their work routine!
