‘Prints from the Studios’ is an annual exhibition which showcases the diversity of printmaking techniques such as etching, drypoint, screen-printing, woodcut, monotype and photo-etching that are explored and honed by a wide range of artists. This exhibition provides an opportunity to see a rich variety of fine art printmaking at its best, including Carol’s work, and is running on the 22nd – 24th and 29th – 31st October, and 5th – 7th November from 11am to 4pm.
Carol is also artist in residence at Wheal Martyn in St Austell. Carol has been filmed reading her performance poem Carthew, about the establishment and the expansion of the china clay works, Carthew house and about the Martyn family who lived there. Carol has created 12 limited edition copies of the poem, folded into boxes which are created from paper that Carol made herself, with the addition of pink or grey clay from the Wheal Martyn clay pit. The short film of Carol’s performance is available to watch on the Wheal Martyn Instagram page @whealmartyn or on YouTube.
