We are pleased to share the news about Krowji tenant, Amy Albright’s expressive landscape painting course on 6th and 7th October, 10am to 4pm.
“On this two-day course we will be painting outside on the dramatic North Coast of Cornwall. One day outside and one day back at the studio at Krowji, (Redruth), with guidance from Artist and tutor Amy Albright throughout.
Focussing on capturing the coastline of North coast of Cornwall, Amy will guide you to paint in an expressive, playful manner, starting with black and white abstract sketches followed by painting with using water based paint, and acrylic paint.
We will paint outside over looking Porthtowan, Chapel Porth or St Agnes beach, (Location to be to be decided depending on weather/wind) Amy will demonstrate and guide you through drawing activities to ‘abstract from the landscape’.
Incorporating colour and bringing emotion into your work, you will be working on many large pieces of paper and then onto board, we will focus on our emotional expressionistic view of the landscape, rather than a direct representational approach.”
