C Fylm is partnering with Truro Cathedral on a very special screening of War of the Worlds (1953) under the incredible Mars: War and Peace installation by artist Luke Gerram.
Nominated for its film editing and sound recording, the film received a Special Award from the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences for its special effects, including colourful death rays, memorable alien spaceships, and iconic scenes of destruction.
Measuring seven metres in diameter, the artwork features 120dpi detailed NASA imagery of the Martian surface, made from NASA Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter data, Visible Earth series, NASA.
There will be two screenings:
Doors 6pm / Film 6.30pm
Doors 8pm / Film 8.30pm
