Historic England has been working with the National Trust and soundUK to bring hidden histories and stories to life across six High Street Heritage Action Zones. Local artists Anna Maria Murphy, Sue Hill and Ciaran Clarke’s Stret an Levow/Street of Voices represents a broad spectrum of people and their experiences of Redruth. Listeners will be supported by an illustrated map while they take a self-guided route at their own pace. Stret an Levow will be produced in association with Creative Kernow’s rural touring programme Carn to Cove.
“We’ve had the honour of being a small part of discovering the hidden stories of Redruth and putting our collective imaginations to interpreting fragments of the town’s history. Redruth’s Fore Street is full of riches and tales that are important to hear – delightful, poignant and entertaining.” – Anna, Sue, and Ciaran.
