The Stratford Gallery in Broadway, Worcestershire has reopened its premises to the public and features ceramics, painting and sculpture from artists based in the UK and internationally. Influenced by her experience of the last 12 months, Kerry completed this particular body of paintings during the most recent lockdown.
“I have always sought out the odd, the weird, the sublime, and realise after a year of seeking solace in distant horizons that these appealing aspects are almost always a result of Cornwall’s relationship with the sky. Being on the north coast of a peninsula means the ever changing clouds, light, shadows and winds give little moments of intrigue and nuance only noticed when you live somewhere like this long enough to see beyond the undoubtable awe.
“‘Wider Than The Sky, Deeper Than The Sea’ came after reading the poem ‘The Brain – Is Wider Than The Sky’ by Emily Dickinson. This poem celebrates the complexity of the human brain and our power of imagination and comprehension.

Kerry’s exhibition at the gallery is open to visitors Monday to Friday, 10am – 5pm.
