Studio Lowen

Hello we’re Studio Lowen. We make leather accessories, homeware and personalised gifts, our products are made with joy in our new studio at Krowji, in Cornwall.

The name Studio Lowen was born simply from the idea of the studio being a happy place to make and create, a place of joy. The word “Lowen” is Cornish for happy and joyful. Each piece is created with the simple objective of bringing happiness through aesthetic and functionality.

Studio Lowen was founded by Lisa, a designer-maker from Cornwall back in 2018. Lisa spent her early creative career working as a in-house graphic and product designer before taking the plunge to go freelance. It was while freelancing that she created the first ever Studio Lowen business product, the humble business card holder in a hand painted navy and gold spot design. 

Now more than just business card holders our collection includes bags, earrings, a quirky collection of ceramics, greeting cards, homeware and gifts. Our leather collections include Italian Leather, Suede and British made recycled leather, we use these incredible materials to make personalised clutch bags, glasses cases, card holders and jewellery pouches. These collections are particularly popular for weddings and personalised gifts.

We save the tiny pieces of leather and turn them into our earrings, napkin rings, key rings and even the loops on our door wedges. We also have a range of greeting cards and wrapping paper that is designed in-house and printed within the UK, alongside a very small selection of handmade ceramics and also, plywood display stands for shops and other makers.

We try to create as little waste as possible and use carefully sourced materials, We love turning materials which may usually be discarded into something new and beautiful that will be treasured.
