Lillian Thomson

I am a painter and printmaker, I explore ways in which a process of change allows me to reinterpret and respond to a collection of objects.

My work hovers between representation and abstraction suggesting something that has a familiarity to the viewer yet disrupting this so it is not quite tangible. By exploring multiple perspectives I look at the many ways we can perceive an object through the contradiction of both objective observation and the gesture of abstraction.
