Brad Allsop is an illustrator and designer with a background in architecture, carpentry and heritage crafts.

Brad brings places, ideas and stories to life through hand-drawn illustration. “My work often sits somewhere between technical drawing and visual storytelling, creating artwork that explains something clearly without losing character and most importantly, the playfulness!”

Before becoming a full-time illustrator, Brad trained in architecture and worked across design, carpentry and heritage crafts. This hands-on background gives him a different perspective when drawing buildings, landscapes and the places people interact with.

He works with publishers, environmental organisations, designers, charities and businesses across the UK. Recent clients include Natural England, BBC Bitesize, Bikepacking Journal and Heneb – The Trust for Welsh Archaeology.

When he’s not in the studio, he’s usually somewhere outside, exploring the coast, surfing, hiking or travelling in his self-converted campervan, Forrest. He fills sketchbooks wherever he goes, and those observations often find their way back into his work.
