Art-K West Cornwall

At art-K West Cornwall, children’s sessions are designed to build strong creative foundations in a fun, supportive studio environment. Students (aged 6–17) develop skills in drawing, visual observation and working with artist-quality materials, exploring mediums such as acrylic, canvas, clay and mixed media. Each child works on their own project at their own pace, guided by a practising artist with over 30 years’ experience, and is introduced to both well-known and lesser-known artists to deepen creative understanding.

We offer daytime home education classes, after-school clubs, Saturday sessions, and the nationally recognised Arts Award (Bronze and Silver) — a valuable alternative pathway to GCSE Art. Mixed-age groups allow students to join at any point in the term, beginning with a paid taster session before enrolling (pro rata). All materials and sketchbooks are included, and childcare vouchers and instalment payments are accepted.

We also run welcoming adult classes, offering a relaxed, supportive space to develop skills, explore new materials and grow in confidence — whether returning to art or starting for the first time.
