With a natural approach, I use the processes of old to create and engage in a reciprocal relationship with nature; to be restored by nature and to restore her.
I hand dye, spin, weave, felt, and needle punch wool. With sustainability at the forefront of my practice, I also make upcycled clothes, especially patchwork dungarees, promoting upcycled and slow fashion with meaning and value.
With a focus on meditative processes and not just the end product, I use traditional crafts to create a relationship from raw material to end product. Foraging creates a personal connection to the materials and the locality creates a communication with the land and history. Inspired by the plants and landscape around me, I abstract them in ways to open up perspectives, creating an interaction with them through sensory textures.
I have an interwoven practice to bring wellbeing to people, place and earth. Interconnecting them in community and crafts and bringing us closer to the land by reconnecting to natural materials.
I am open to commissions in both my weaving practice and making clothes.
