The context of my work started form a traumatic experience of amnesia when I was in my teens. I have explored my memory through nature, using the Magnolia tree as a metaphor. The tree stands strong and dignified, however the petals are delicate, the fall and they die, only to regenerate and reproduce equally beautiful flowers the following year. The flowers are supported by the tree it’s self just as I am supported by my environment and my relationship with the world.
I hope that the photographs I take will cause others to look and reflect on their relationship with the concept of beauty and growth in nature as well as opportunities for re- flowering.
