My ideas and thought processes stem from life’s’ experiences and challenges, often evolving from personal awareness and understanding. Through my perception I narrate with design, colour, texture, pattern and text. Although my work focuses on the use of clay/ceramics, printmaking processes and photographic techniques, I have discovered a multidisciplinary way of working. This has been facilitated by my recent studies with Plymouth University, from where I graduated in July 2018 with a First Class BA (Hons) in Contemporary Creative Practice
The stories I tell are revealed in diverse designs, which often conceal deeper messages. This allows my art to be interpreted on different levels and motivated by individual experience.
I am delighted to be a recipient of the Krowji Graduate Studio Award 2018 and alongside developing my creative practice I am now studying for an MA in Philosophy.
