Jane Beecroft

I have always been involved with Arts and Crafts. In 1996 I stopped lecturing in order to concentrate on painting.  Since then my work has been exhibited widely and is in both private and public collections in the UK and abroad.

I endeavour to explore the mystery and nature of reality in my artwork. I create imaginative paintings that draw on my life’s experiences, beliefs and travels. An incident or view or a feeling of wonder and inquisitiveness may start me on the path of a series of new work. I try to connect with and capture the energy of the moment and that is around us and within… I could say more!

I continue to explore new techniques and materials- sometimes these effects create a mystical/abstract quality to the work.
