Capital Project Partners

Since about 2002 ACT has been developing its biggest project to date, working with partners to transform the former Redruth Grammar School into offices and managed workspaces for up to 250 people.

ACT bought the premises from Cornwall County Council in 2005 and since then have gradually refurbished many of the existing buildings.  We have now received planning approval for a major capital redevelopment of the site and are in the process of confirming funds to develop Phase 1 of this flagship scheme which will promote the best of the Creative Industries in Cornwall.

If all goes well, we expect to be starting the phased rebuild in 2013.

Our key partners in this are Cornwall Council, Cornwall Development Company, Arts Council England, Redruth Town Council and the European Regional Development Fund.  We are working with several banks and other private investors to raise the funding to match the potential ERDF grant.
